Men, It’s Time to Speak
Last week, I received news that shook me to my core.
A friend, who had just celebrated his 50th birthday, ended his life the very next day.
No one saw it coming.
We were around him. We spoke with him. Yet, he never spoke up.
And that’s what haunts me most.
Why Don’t Men Speak Up?
What is it with us, men? Who told us we’re not allowed to express what we feel?Who decided that silence equals strength — that pain must be buried under a brave face? We’ve mastered the art of preparing for life’s beginnings.
When a baby’s on the way, we paint the room, buy the crib, and stock the cupboards. We prepare — physically and emotionally — for new life.
But we never prepare for endings.
We never prepare for loss. And when it hits, we’re left with chaos — a storm of questions, guilt, and the unbearable weight of “what if.”
The Truth We Don’t Want to Face
When a man chooses to end his life, he often believes the world will be better off without him.
He imagines his loved ones will be relieved of the burden.
He convinces himself that the financial mess will sort itself out.
But that’s not reality, brother.
No insurance company pays out for suicide.
And the items you think will take care of your family — your car, your home, your tools — lose value in the shadow of that act.
What remains is pain, confusion, and a thousand questions that will never be answered.
The Real Mess Left Behind
The people you love most are left trying to fix what can’t be fixed. They don’t just lose you — they lose parts of themselves in the process. They’re left cleaning up, not only your things, but the emotional wreckage that silence created.
And that’s why this message is urgent.
Coaching Is Not Therapy — It’s a Lifeline
If you’ve ever found yourself staring into the darkness — not necessarily wanting to die, but not knowing how to live — it’s time to talk.
Don’t wait until you’re in the moment. Don’t wait until the noise in your head becomes unbearable.
A good coach won’t judge you. He’ll walk beside you. He’ll help you find clarity where confusion reigns and rebuild the belief that life can still be beautiful.
Coaching doesn’t erase your pain. It transforms it into purpose. It helps you see that even in the darkest moments, there’s light waiting to break through.
Because here’s the truth:
Your story isn’t finished.
And you don’t have to face it alone.
